Background: Anxiety disorders are the most common psychiatric problems, affecting approximately 1 in 12 children and 1 in 4 adolescents. Understanding the incidence, burden and correlated risks of anxiety disorders among children and adolescents can help identify areas of success, stagnation and emerging threats, thereby facilitating effective improvement strategies. Aims: To estimate the incidence and burden trends of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents from 1990 to 2019 in 204 countries and compare the incidence and disease burden in different countries. To examine the association between anxiety disorders and social indicators (healthcare access and quality of life). Methods: Data were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019. The age-standardised incidence rates (ASIRs) and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) were reported to assess the burden of anxiety disorders, and the estimated annual percentage change was calculated to quantify the temporal trends. Pearson's correlation was used to investigate country-level risk factors for incidence and DALYs. Results: Globally, there were 932 million incident cases of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents, 739.29 per 100 000 ASIRs and 380.62 million DALYs in 2019. From 1990 to 2019, the estimated annual percentage change of incidence of anxiety disorders decreased by 2.2%. Significant variations were observed in the age-standardised burden rate and the changing trend of anxiety disorders among countries. Portugal reported the highest ASIR of anxiety disorders, while Mexico had the largest increase rate of ASIR. In 2019, Portugal reported the highest number of DALYs (1001.71 million), and India (212.09 million) reported the lowest number of DALYs. The burden of anxiety disorders was positively correlated with the average number of psychiatrists, psychologists and nurses in the mental health sector (per 100 000), and quality of life and the correlation coefficients were 0.58, 0.67, 0.43 and 0.53, respectively. Conclusions: The incidence and global burden of anxiety disorders in adolescents have continued to decrease over the past 30 years. However, the incidence and disease burden in developed countries are still increasing steadily. Policymakers should design and implement mental health strategies for adolescents based on their specific developmental status, as well as the cultural and regional characteristics of each country.

BACKGROUND: It has been reported that intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) may be the preferred fertilization method for women with thyroid autoimmunity (TAI) seeking assisted reproduction. We compared the reproductive outcomes of women with TAI who were treated with ICSI compared to in vitro fertilization (IVF). METHODS: In this retrospective cohort study, we included women with infertility who were referred to the Reproductive Centre of Peking University Third Hospital for their first IVF/ICSI and embryo transfer treatment cycle from January, 2019 to February, 2021. In total, 2,171 and 743 women with TAI underwent IVF and ICSI, respectively, while 8,702 and 2,688 women without TAI underwent IVF and ICSI, respectively. We examined the cumulative live birth rate (primary outcome) from the initiated stimulative cycle as well as the secondary outcomes of fertilization rate, rates of clinical pregnancy and live birth after the first embryo transfer cycle. We compared the reproductive outcomes of women treated with IVF and ICSI according to TAI status. Multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed to adjust for relevant confounders. RESULTS: Women who underwent ICSI had significantly higher fertilization rates than those who underwent IVF (median [interquartile range]: 0.6 [0.5-0.8] in TAI-positive and IVF group vs. 0.7 [0.5-0.8] in TAI-positive and ICSI group vs. 0.6 [0.5-0.8] in TAI-negative and IVF group vs. 0.7 [0.5-0.8] in TAI-positive and ICSI group, p<0.001). However, the rates of cumulative live births, clinical pregnancies, and live births were significantly lower among women with TAI who underwent ICSI than those who underwent IVF (cumulative live birth: 51.8% vs. 47%, adjusted odds ratio: 0.80, 95% CI: 0.67-0.97); clinical pregnancy: 43.0% vs. 38.8%, adjusted odds ratio: 0.81, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.67-0.97; live birth: 36.2% vs. 32.4%, adjusted odds ratio: 0.81, 95% CI: 0.66-0.98). CONCLUSION: We observed that the use of ICSI in women with TAI was not associated with better assisted reproductive outcomes compared to IVF. Further prospective clinical trials are needed to confirm our findings.

BACKGROUND: Cumulative live birth rate (CLBR) is considered as the most important endpoint for assessing the probability of having a baby in a complete in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) treatment cycle. Many previous studies have focused on the association between thyroid autoimmunity (TAI) and live birth rate after first embryo transfer cycle, however, evidence on whether the presence of TAI affects the CLBR is lacking. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of TAI on the CLBR in a complete IVF/ICSI cycle. METHODS: This retrospective study included 12,796 women who underwent their first IVF/ICSI treatment between January 2019 and February 2021. Based on the levels of thyroid antibodies, 2,603 women were assigned to the TAI group, and 10,193 women were assigned to the control group. Subgroup analysis was performed according to the different causes of infertility (including male factor only, ovulation disorder, tubal factor, endometriosis and unexplained infertility) and different types and titres of thyroid antibodies. The primary outcome in this study was CLBR, which included live births from the fresh embryo transfer cycle and all subsequent frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles performed before December 2021. RESULTS: There was no significant difference in the CLBR between the TAI and control groups, even after adjusting for relevant confounders including age, body mass index, cause of infertility, thyroid function, protocols of controlled ovarian stimulation, type of transfer (fresh vs. frozen), type of transferred embryo (cleavage-stage embryo vs. blastocyst), and fertilization method (IVF vs. ICSI) (cumulative live birth: 50.6% vs. 52.1%, OR 0.94, 95% CI 0.86-1.02, adjusted OR 0.97, 95%CI 0.89-1.06). Subgroup analysis showed that no significant difference was observed in CLBR between the TAI and control groups for all causes of infertility, except for infertility attributed to endometriosis. Among women with endometriosis, the CLBR was significantly lower in the TAI group than that in the control group; however, this difference was not significant after adjusting for potential confounders including age, body mass index, thyroid function, protocols of controlled ovarian stimulation, type of transfer (fresh vs. frozen), type of transferred embryo (cleavage-stage embryo vs. blastocyst), and fertilization method (IVF vs. ICSI) (cumulative live births: 43.1% vs. 51.0%, OR 0.73, 95% CI 0.53-0.99, adjusted OR 0.74, 95% CI 0.53-1.02). Another subgroup analysis demonstrated that the type and titre of thyroid antibody did not affect CLBR in women with TAI. CONCLUSIONS: In our study, there was no significant difference in the CLBR between women with TAI and those without TAI, which suggests that TAI did not affect the chances of having a baby in a complete IVF/ICSI treatment cycle.

OBJECTIVE: To understand the health status, influencing factors and spatial distribution of the Chinese floating population and to evaluate the health equity of the floating population. METHODS: All the data were collected from the 2017 Migrant Population Dynamic Monitoring Survey in China, binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the factors that might affect the health of the floating population, and the concentration index method was used to evaluate the health equity of the floating population. Spatial autocorrelation analyses the spatial aggregation of health status and health equity. RESULTS: The unhealthy rate of the floating population in China was 2.71%. Age and gender show a statistically significant impact on self-rated health; that is, as age increases, the self-rated health of the migrant population gradually deteriorates, and women are more likely to think that they are unhealthy. Fairness analysis shows that the concentration index of the floating population is 0.021 7, the urban household registration floating population is 0.021 6, and the rural household registration floating population is 0.021 9. It is shown that the fairness of the health status of the floating population is biased towards the high-income class, and the rural household registration floating population' s health unfairness is greater than that of the urban household registration migration population. Moreover, Moran' s i=0.211 for self-rated health and Moran' s i=0.291 for the unhealthy rate indicate that self-rated health has a spatial aggregation trend. Moran' s i=0.136 showed the characteristics of spatial clustering, and the two-week prevalence fairness of the floating population was mainly in the northern and southeastern coastal areas. CONCLUSION: In general, the health status of the floating population in China is relatively good. The main influencing factors of health included gender and age. The central tendency of health inequity is reflected in the southeast coastal and northern regions, which are characterized by poverty. Attention to spatial aggregation is not only helpful to analyze the reasons of floating population, but also to study the health differences between different regions and health-related factors, to improve the overall health level of the whole population.

Single-atom catalysts (SACs) are considered prominent materials in the field of catalysis due to their high metal atom utilization and selectivity. However, the wide-ranging applications of SACs remain a significant challenge due to their complex preparation processes. Here, we report a universal strategy to prepare a series of noble metal single atoms on different non-noble metal oxides through a facile one-step thermal decomposition of molten salts. By using a mixture of non-noble metal nitrate and a small-amount noble metal chloride as the precursor, noble metal single atoms can be easily introduced into the non-noble metal oxide lattice owing to the cation-exchange in the in-situ formed molten salt, followed by the thermal decomposition of nitrate anions during the heating process. Analyses using aberration-corrected high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy and extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy confirm the formation of the finely dispersed single atoms. Specially, the as-synthesized Ir single atoms (10.97 wt%) and Pt single atoms (4.60 wt%) on the Co3O4 support demonstrate outstanding electrocatalytic activities for oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction, respectively. BACKGROUND: Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETs) are common gland neoplasms demonstrating distinctive transcription factors. Although the role of immune cells in PitNETs has been widely recognized, the precise immunological environment and its control over tumor cells are poorly understood. METHODS: The heterogeneity, spatial distribution, and clinical significance of macrophages in PitNETs were analyzed using single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), bulk RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, immunohistochemistry, and multiplexed quantitative immunofluorescence (QIF). Cell viability, cell apoptosis assays, and in vivo subcutaneous xenograft experiments have confirmed that INHBA-ACVR1B influences the process of tumor cell apoptosis. RESULTS: The present study evaluated scRNA-seq data from 23 PitNET samples categorized into 3 primary lineages. The objective was to explore the diversity of tumors and the composition of immune cells across these lineages. Analyzed data from scRNA-seq and 365 bulk RNA sequencing samples conducted in-house revealed the presence of three unique subtypes of tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) in PitNETs. These subtypes were characterized by varying levels of immune infiltration, ranging from low to intermediate to high. In addition, the NR5A1 lineage is primarily associated with the subtype characterized by limited infiltration of immune cells. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) expressing CX3CR1+, C1Q+, and GPNMB+ showed enhanced contact with tumor cells expressing NR5A1 + , TBX19+, and POU1F1+, respectively. This emphasizes the distinct interaction axes between TAMs and tumor cells based on their lineage. Moreover, the connection between CX3CR1+ macrophages and tumor cells via INHBA-ACVR1B regulates tumor cell apoptosis. CONCLUSIONS: In summary, the different subtypes of TIME and the interaction between TAM and tumor cells offer valuable insights into the control of TIME that affects the development of PitNET. These findings can be utilized as prospective targets for therapeutic interventions.

Supported metal catalysts with appropriate metal-support interactions (MSIs) hold a great promise for heterogeneous catalysis. However, ensuring tight immobilization of metal clusters/nanoparticles on the support while maximizing the exposure of surface active sites remains a huge challenge. Herein, we report an Ir/WO3 catalyst with a new enrooted-type MSI in which Ir clusters are, unprecedentedly, atomically enrooted into the WO3 lattice. The enrooted Ir atoms decrease the electron density of the constructed interface compared to the adhered (root-free) type, thereby achieving appropriate adsorption toward oxygen intermediates, ultimately leading to high activity and stability for oxygen evolution in acidic media. Importantly, this work provides a new enrooted-type supported metal catalyst, which endows suitable MSI and maximizes the exposure of surface active sites in contrast to the conventional adhered, embedded, and encapsulated types.

Improving drug sensitivity is an important strategy in chemotherapy of cancer and accumulating evidence indicates that miRNAs are involved in the regulation of drug sensitivity, but the specific mechanism is still unclear. Our previous study has found that miR-296-5p was significantly downregulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Here, we aim to explore whether miR-296-5p is involved in regulating cisplatin sensitivity in NPC by regulating STAT3/KLF4 signaling axis. The cell proliferation and clonogenic capacity of NPC cells were evaluated by CCK8 Assay and plate colony assay, respectively. The Annexin V-FITC staining kit was used to determine and quantify the apoptotic cells using flow cytometry. The drug efflux ability of NPC cells were determined by Rhodamine 123 efflux experiment. The expression of miR-296-5p, apoptosis-related genes and protein in NPC cell lines were detected by qPCR and Western blot, respectively. Animal study was used to evaluate the sensitivity of NPC cells to DDP treatment in vivo. Our results showed that elevated miR-296-5p expression obviously promoted the sensitivity of NPC cells to DDP by inhibiting cell proliferation and clonogenic capacity, and inducing apoptosis. In addition, we found that miR-296-5p inhibited the expression of STAT3 and KLF4 in NPC cells, while overexpression of exogenous STAT3 reversed miR-296-5p-mediated enhancement in cell death of DDP-treated NPC cells. In vivo studies further confirmed that miR-296-5p promotes the sensitivity of NPC cells to DDP treatment. miRNA-296-5p enhances the drug sensitivity of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells to cisplatin via STAT3/KLF4 signaling pathway.

Lysine acetylation of non-histone proteins plays crucial roles in many cellular processes. In this study, we examine the role of lysine acetylation during sister chromatid separation in mitosis. We investigate the acetylation of securin at K21 by cell-cycle-dependent acetylome analysis and uncover its role in separase-triggered chromosome segregation during mitosis. Prior to the onset of anaphase, the acetylated securin via TIP60 prevents its degradation by the APC/CCDC20-mediated ubiquitin-proteasome system. This, in turn, restrains precocious activation of separase and premature separation of sister chromatids. Additionally, the acetylation-dependent stability of securin is also enhanced by its dephosphorylation. As anaphase approaches, HDAC1-mediated deacetylation of securin promotes its degradation, allowing released separase to cleave centromeric cohesin. Blocking securin deacetylation leads to longer anaphase duration and errors in chromosome segregation. Thus, this study illustrates the emerging role of securin acetylation dynamics in mitotic progression and genetic stability.

BACKGROUND: Growing evidence demonstrates minimal impact of mechanical bowel preparation (MBP) on reducing postoperative complications following elective colectomy. This study investigated the necessity of MBP prior to elective colonic resection. METHOD: A systematic literature review was conducted across PubMed, Ovid, and the Cochrane Library to identify studies comparing the effects of MBP with no preparation before elective colectomy, up until May 26, 2023. Surgical-related outcomes were compiled and subsequently analyzed. The primary outcomes included the incidence of anastomosis leakage (AL) and surgical site infection (SSI), analyzed using Review Manager Software (v 5.3). RESULTS: The analysis included 14 studies, comprising seven RCTs with 5146 participants. Demographic information was consistent across groups. No significant differences were found between the groups in terms of AL ((P = 0.43, OR = 1.16, 95% CI (0.80, 1.68), I2 = 0%) or SSI (P = 0.47, OR = 1.20, 95% CI (0.73, 1.96), I2 = 0%), nor were there significant differences in other outcomes. Subgroup analysis on oral antibiotic use showed no significant changes in results. However, in cases of right colectomy, the group without preparation showed a significantly lower incidence of SSI (P = 0.01, OR = 0.52, 95% CI (0.31, 0.86), I2 = 1%). No significant differences were found in other subgroup analyses. CONCLUSION: The current evidence robustly indicates that MBP before elective colectomy does not confer significant benefits in reducing postoperative complications. Therefore, it is justified to forego MBP prior to elective colectomy, irrespective of tumor location.

Considering that CO2 reduction is mostly a multielectron reaction, it is necessary for the photocatalysts to integrate multiple catalytic sites and cooperate synergistically to achieve efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction to various products, such as C2 hydrocarbons. Herein, through crystal engineering, we designed and constructed a metal-organic framework-derived Zr/Ti bimetallic oxide solid solution support, which was confirmed by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. After anchoring Au nanoparticles, the composite photocatalyst exhibited excellent performances toward photocatalytic CO2 reduction to syngas (H2 and CO production rates of 271.6 and 260.6 µmol g-1 h-1) and even C2 hydrocarbons (C2H4 and C2H6 production rates of 6.80 and 4.05 µmol g-1 h-1). According to the control experiments and theoretical calculations, the strong interaction between bimetallic oxide solid solution support and Au nanoparticles was found to be beneficial for binding intermediates and reducing CO2 reduction, highlighting the synergy effect of the catalytic system with multiple active sites.

Doxorubicin (DOX) is widely used as a chemotherapeutic agent for both hematologic and solid tumors and is a reasonable candidate for glioma treatment. However, its effectiveness is hindered by significant toxicity and drug resistance. Moreover, the presence of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) brings a crucial challenge to glioma therapy. In response, a GSH-responsive and actively targeted nanoprodrug delivery system (cRGD/PSDOX-Cur@NPs) are developed. In this system, a disulfide bond-bridged DOX prodrug (PEG-SS-DOX) is designed to release specifically in the high glutathione (GSH) tumor environment, markedly reducing the cardiotoxicity associated with DOX. To further address DOX resistance, curcumin, serving as a P-glycoprotein (P-gp) inhibitor, effectively increased cellular DOX concentration. Consequently, cRGD/PSDOX-Cur@NPs exhibited synergistic anti-tumor effects in vitro. Furthermore, in vivo experiments validated the superior BBB penetration and brain-targeting abilities of cRGD/PSDOX-Cur@NPs, showcasing the remarkable potential for treating both subcutaneous and orthotopic gliomas. This research underscores that this nanoprodrug delivery system presents a novel approach to inhibiting glioma while addressing resistance and systemic toxicity.

Senescence-associated microRNAs (SA-miRNAs) are important molecules for aging regulation. While many aging-promoting SA-miRNAs have been identified, confirmed aging-suppressive SA-miRNAs are rare, that impeded our full understanding on aging regulation. In this study, we verified that miR-708 expression is decreased in senescent cells and aged tissues and revealed that miR-708 overexpression can alleviate cellular senescence and aging performance. About the molecular cascade carrying the aging suppressive action of miR-708, we unraveled that miR-708 directly targets the 3'UTR of the disabled 2 (Dab2) gene and inhibits the expression of DAB2. Interestingly, miR-708-caused DAB2 downregulation blocks the aberrant mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) activation, a driving metabolic event for senescence progression, and restores the impaired autophagy, a downstream event of aberrant mTORC1 activation. We also found that AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation can upregulate miR-708 via the elevation of DICER expression, and miR-708 inhibitor is able to blunt the antiaging effect of AMPK. In summary, this study characterized miR-708 as an aging-suppressive SA-miRNA for the first time and uncovered a new signaling cascade, in which miR-708 links the DAB2/mTOR axis and AMPK/DICER axis together. These findings not only demonstrate the potential role of miR-708 in aging regulation, but also expand the signaling network connecting AMPK and mTORC1.

Fungal diseases form perforated disease spots in tobacco plants, resulting in a decline in tobacco yield and quality. The present study investigated the antagonistic effect of Bacillus subtilis CTXW 7-6-2 against Rhizoctonia solani, its ability to promote the growth of tobacco seedlings, and the expression of disease resistance-related genes for efficient and eco-friendly plant disease control. Our results showed that CTXW 7-6-2 had the most vigorous growth after being cultured for 96 h, and its rate of inhibition of R. solani growth in vitro was 94.02%. The volatile compounds produced by CTXW 7-6-2 inhibited the growth of R. solani significantly (by 96.62%). The fungal growthinhibition rate of the B. subtilis CTXW 7-6-2 broth obtained after high-temperature and no-high-temperature sterile fermentation was low, at 50.88% and 54.63%, respectively. The lipopeptides extracted from the B. subtilis CTXW 7-6-2 fermentation broth showed a 74.88% fungal growth inhibition rate at a concentration of 100 mg/l. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy showed some organelle structural abnormalities, collapse, shrinkage, blurring, and dissolution in the R. solani mycelia. In addition, CTXW 7-6-2 increased tobacco seedling growth and improved leaf and root weight compared to the control. After CTXW 7-6-2 inoculation, tobacco leaves showed the upregulation of the PDF1.2, PPO, and PAL genes, which are closely related to target spot disease resistance. In conclusion, B. subtilis CTXW 7-6-2 may be an efficient biological control agent in tobacco agriculture and enhance plant growth potential.

Despite approximately 70 % of the earth being covered by water, water shortage has emerged as an urgent social challenge. Sorbent-based atmospheric water harvesting stands out as a potent approach to alleviate the situation, particularly in arid regions. This method requires adsorbents with ample working capacity, rapid kinetics, low energy costs, and long-term stability under operating conditions. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are a novel class of crystalline porous materials and offer distinct advantages due to their high specific surface area, structural diversity, and robustness. These properties enable the rational design and customization of their water-harvesting capabilities. Herein, the basic concepts about the water sorption process within COFs, including the parameters that qualitatively or quantitatively describe their water isotherms and the mechanism are summarized. Then, the recent methods used to prepare COFs-based water harvesters are reviewed, emphasizing the structural diversity of COFs and presenting the common empirical understandings of these endeavors. Finally, challenges and research concepts are proposed to help develop next-generation COFs-based water harvesters.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are an ideal template to construct high-efficiency catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) due to their predictable properties. However, the closely parallel-stacking manner and lacking intramolecular electron transfer ability of COFs limit atomic utilization efficiency and intrinsic activity. Herein, COFs are constructed with large interlayer distances and enhanced electronic transfer ability by side-chain functionalization. Long chains with electron-donating features not only enlarge interlayer distance, but also narrow the bandgap. The resulting DPPS-COF displays higher electrochemical surface areas to provide more exposed active sites, despite <1/10 surface areas. DPPS-COF exhibits excellent electrocatalytic ORR activity with half-wave potential of 0.85 V, which is 30 and 60 mV positive than those of Pt/C and DPP-COF, and is the record among the reported COFs. DPPS-COF is employed as cathode electrocatalyst for zinc-air battery with a maximum power density of 185.2 mW cm-2 , which is superior to Pt/C. Theoretical calculation further reveals that longer electronic-donating chains not only facilitate the formation of intermediate OOH* from O2 , but also promote intermediates desorption , and thus leading to higher activity.

The promotion of excess low-density lipoprotein (LDL) clearance stands as an effective clinical approach for treating hyperlipidemia. Tetrahydroberberine, a metabolite of berberine, exhibits superior bioavailability compared to berberine and demonstrates a pronounced hypolipidemic effect. Despite these characteristics, the impact of tetrahydroberberine on improving excessive LDL clearance in hyperlipidemia has remained unexplored. Thus, this study investigates the potential effects of tetrahydroberberine on high-fat diet-induced hyperlipidemia in mice. The findings reveal that tetrahydroberberine exerts a more potent lipid-lowering effect than berberine, particularly concerning LDL-cholesterol in hyperlipidemic mice. Notably, tetrahydroberberine significantly reduces serum levels of upstream lipoproteins, including intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL) and very low-density lipoprotein, by promoting their conversion to LDL. This reduction is further facilitated by the upregulation of hepatic LDL receptor expression induced by tetrahydroberberine. Intriguingly, tetrahydroberberine enhances the apolipoprotein E (ApoE)/apolipoprotein B100 (ApoB100) ratio, influencing lipoprotein assembly in the serum. This effect is achieved through the activation of the efflux of ApoE-containing cholesterol in the liver. The ApoE/ApoB100 ratio exhibits a robust negative correlation with serum levels of LDL and IDL, indicating its potential as a diagnostic indicator for hyperlipidemia. Moreover, tetrahydroberberine enhances hepatic lipid clearance without inducing lipid accumulation in the liver and alleviates existing liver lipid content. Importantly, no apparent hepatorenal toxicity is observed following tetrahydroberberine treatment for hyperlipidemia. In summary, tetrahydroberberine demonstrates a positive impact against hyperlipidemia by modulating lipoprotein assembly-induced clearance of LDL and IDL. The ApoE/ApoB100 ratio emerges as a promising diagnostic indicator for hyperlipidemia, showcasing the potential clinical significance of tetrahydroberberine in lipid management.

The growth of disorganized lithium dendrites and weak solid electrolyte interphase greatly impede the practical application of lithium metal batteries. Herein, we designed and synthesized a new kind of stable polyimide covalent organic frameworks (COFs), which have a high density of well-aligned lithiophilic quinoxaline and phthalimide units anchored within the uniform one-dimensional channels. The COFs can serve as an artificial solid electrolyte interphase on lithium metal anode, effectively guiding the uniform deposition of lithium ions and inhibiting the growth of lithium dendrites. The unsymmetrical Li||COF-Cu battery exhibits a Coulombic efficiency of 99 % at a current density of 0.5 mA cm-2 , which can be well retained up to 400 cycles. Meanwhile, the Li-COF||LFP full cell shows a Coulombic efficiency over 99 % at a charge of 0.3 C. And its capacity can be well maintained up to 91 % even after 150 cycles. Therefore, the significant electrochemical cycling stability illustrates the feasibility of employing COFs in solving the disordered deposition of lithium ions in lithium metal batteries.

In animal cells, the dysregulation of centrosome duplication and cohesion maintenance leads to abnormal spindle assembly and chromosomal instability, contributing to developmental disorders and tumorigenesis. However, the molecular mechanisms involved in maintaining accurate centrosome number control and tethering are not fully understood. Here, we identified coiled-coil domain-containing 102A (CCDC102A) as a centrosomal protein exhibiting a barrel-like structure in the proximal regions of parent centrioles, where it prevents centrosome overduplication by restricting interactions between Cep192 and Cep152 on centrosomes, thereby ensuring bipolar spindle formation. Additionally, CCDC102A regulates the centrosome linker by recruiting and binding C-Nap1; it is removed from the centrosome after Nek2A-mediated phosphorylation at the onset of mitosis. Overall, our results indicate that CCDC102A participates in controlling centrosome number and maintaining centrosome cohesion, suggesting that a well-tuned system regulates centrosome structure and function throughout the cell cycle.
